Imagine That for 3 & 4 year olds
3 years to 5 years
WELCOME TO LEVEL IMAGINE THAT for 3 & 4 year olds
Did you know that preschoolers have a natural
love of music? We will use music to boost language skills, confidence,
social-emotional skills, self-control, and more. Parents and caregivers join the last 15 minutes of each class to participate in the music-making. Imagine That is perfect for 3 and 4 year olds. Four semesters of incredible adventure without repeating a theme for all 3 and 4 year olds.
What should a music class for preschoolers include? It is not just playing instruments. We will also
focus on sound exploration, ensemble development, creative play, and more.
Preschoolers will enjoy the fun of music-making while boosting all areas of
learning. What to expect... *Ensemble
Development - All together
now! We will play simple patterns as a group, building the tools
they will need to create music in an ensemble. *Pre-reading
Music - Take it one
symbol at a time. Preschoolers will begin to learn to interpret graphic
notation symbols in comparison to sounds, which is a precursor to reading
music. *Creative
Expression - What do you
think? Through creative play, 3-5-year-old students learn to safely express
their feelings and ideas through movement and music. *Instrument
Play - “Da-dum-da-dum!”
Your child will play a variety of instruments, emphasizing on steady beat,
repeated rhythm patterns, and graphic notation.
What you’ll learn... *Language
Understanding - Preschoolers gain a wider vocabulary and knowledge of story structures and learn
how to decode and interpret symbols. *Cognitive - Preschoolers
show a growing ability to memorize and recall information and present
increased attention and focus. *Listening
and Sound Recognition - Children are
able to detect patterns, nuances, and timbre in different sounds they hear. *Socialization - Students will learn to wait patiently, take turns, work cooperatively in a
group, and communicate effectively and respectfully. FALL SESSION 2026 ages 3 - 5 years old

FALL THEME HELLO WEATHER! Sunshine, rain, snow, thunderstorms, and more in this imaginative and delightful weather-related musical adventure. Preschoolers create storm sounds with a drum to “Wild Storms,” jump in pretend puddles to “Mud Puddle Jump,” throw pretend snow-balls to “Snowballs,” and sing along to “Colors of the Rainbow.” With weather as our learning theme, preschoolers will explore musical styles that range from Opera to American folk, and become more self-sufficient in a creative musical environment that integrates music, pretend play, storytelling, movement, and more. Hello Weather - Monthly Mini Themes:
- Lessons 1-4: All Kinds of Weather: Your child’s busy morning routine is the springboard to several weeks of storytelling through singing, pretend play and games in class. Songs about sunshine and playing outdoors engage the children in movement, instrument play, singing, and creative expression and help them understand the concept of tempo (the speed of the beat) in music.
- Lessons 5-8: Let’s Take a Walk: Dancing in rain puddles, jumping in the mud, creating rainbows, and learning the ASL signs for rain and wind provide multi-sensory experiences with legato and staccato in music. At home projects like creating a shaker instrument continue the fun and learning at home.
- Lessons 9-12: Colors of the Rainbow: The weather will change from sun to rain to storm to snow as the children explore ways to create a musical storm with drums and skate on our classroom skating rink. Songs and games from around the world emphasize the musical concepts of glissando and dynamics, and provide plenty of opportunity for movement, creative expression, and social interaction.
