From the moment you became a parent, you wanted the best for your child. In class, we engage your child in music and movement activities that also promote language, social and emotional skills, early math and early literacy, physical coordination, creativity, and more. Plus, your child will learn basic music vocabulary and notation—all setting the stage for future school success and formal music lessons. Parents join the fun for the final activities. The Kindermusik@Home digital home materials extend the benefits all week long with music from class, activities for the whole family, and each month’s story.

SUMMER SESSION 2019 (May 28 - August 2)

Age Range: 4 ½ years to 6 1/2 years old

Class Structure: 4 weeks in this session

Class Length: 45 minute class each week

Cost:  $65, register for a summer session with a $15 deposit and pay remaining balance at first class.

Session 1 Theme: Just say the word drum and any child within earshot will be ready to play. In Drums, Drums, Drums, we’ll focus on drums, percussion instruments, and music from Africa and South America as we clap, tap, move, play, and echo different rhythms.  You’ll learn to recognize the sights and sounds of many different drums, play a drum, and get up and move your body to the rhythms, too!

Session 2 Theme:  Jump into the rhythms of Latin America with Jumping Beans! Peek into the rain forest, explore expressive movement, investigate quarter notes and quarter rests, sing and learn some words and phrases in Spanish, and—you guessed it—jump, jump, jump!
